Air Quality & Filtration

The Skuttle Model 2000 high-capacity by-pass flow-thru humidifier, engineered to accommodate lower furnace temperatures and shorter blower cycles, uses the forced air evaporative principle to deliver high humidification output. Water continuously flows into the distribution pan where a specially designed wicking system disperses it evenly over the entire evaporator pad. Reversible side panels allow the unit to be installed on either the return air or warm air plenum. Unique snap-lock fittings make this installation easy. The sleek thermoplastic cabinet is designed to fit today’s narrower plenums.

Environmental Facts

Although this unit uses the tlow-through principle, Skuttle engineers have reduced water consumption to the minimum necessary to effectively meet humidification requirements. This makes the Model 2000 especially effective in areas where water conservation is essential, and a good choice for environmentally conscious consumers.

Air Quality

Skuttle is committed to manufacturing quality humidifiers that improve indoor air quality. An extensive, independent study conducted by IAQ scientists at Pennsylvania State University proved conclusively that evaporative style furnace humidifiers do not produce or release harmful contaminants into the air.
